Chainway Partners with Motorola on Exploring Handheld Data Collector Market

On May 6th, 2011, Todd Virgil, global OEM general manger of Motorola, and product director Robert E. Grant as well as product manager (OEM Scan Engine) Jonathan Chin visited Chainway for strategic partnership on data collectors.

In the meeting, Chainway introduced its latest UHF model C5000U and best-selling model C5000W as well as explained the products' major applications in different industries to Motorola's senior management team. With comparisons on Chainway handhelds between other brands in current markets, Mr. Virgil was pleased with Chainway products' quality and performance, showing great confidence in the marketing and sales of Chainyway's featured product line as well as offered valuable comments on improving the featured models manufactured by Chainway.

In the meantime, Motorola would continue supporting Chainway on various technical aspects, especially in the 2D imaging applications. Motorola would also provide technical configuration and authorization support to Chainway in this regard, as well as proposals of working together to develop new products most suited for local Chinese market. Both parties also agreed on having another business meeting in the upcoming OEM Conference in Thailand this July.

Afterwards, the senior management teams of Chainway and Motorola made a detailed analysis on Chainway's existing customers, including their industries, backgrounds and product requirements needed. With such detailed analysis and close discussions, all managers of both parties had a better understating on current data collection equipment market and exchanged perspectives, insights and plans for future marketing strategies.

Since 2009, Chainway has been partnering closely and efficiently with Motorola regarding OEM and product optimization issues. With Motorola's senior management team visiting Chainway this May, Chainway's competitiveness on barcode scanning in local and overseas markets was sharpened.
